What's included in the MDO3000 and MDO4000C DDU option?
The Distribution Demo Unit (DDU) option on Tektronix oscilloscopes is an option provided to distributors for demoing scopes to customers with a set time limit before it expires. Questions arise about what's included in the MDO3000 and MDO4000C Series oscilloscopes DDU option.
The MDO3000 option DDU includes most scope options ( e.g. SA, Serial Bus Analysis, Mask Testing, Limit Testing, Power Analysis, AFG) but does not include options SEC or DVM.
The MDO4000C option DDU includes most scope options (e.g Serial Bus Analysis, Mask Testing, Limit Testing, Power Analysis, AFG) but does not include option SEC, or spectrum analyzer hardware. For a demo unit with an integrated spectrum analyzer, the SA3 or SA6 option must be purchased in addition to the DDU option.
Note: Logic Probes were included in option DDU for the MDO4KB/C, but are not anymore as of April 2016.
Acronyms: Arbitrary Function Generator (AFG), Digital Volt Meter (DVM), Spectrum Analyzer (SA), Enhanced Security option (SEC)
