What is aliasing and how do I detect it and fix it on my oscilloscope?

Answer:

Aliasing is basically a form of under sampling and what is displayed on the scopes is an indistinguishable waveform. The under sampled waveform is then contstructed to look like a slower frequency waveform or a flat line in the case of the sample rate being the same as the frequency of your signal.
